Relaxing after dinner - awaiting Mary Gavan's Celtic story telling
Mary Gavan drawing her audience into her story telling.
Twenty-one people attended. The group stood up for Mary Gavan's walking around of the Haggis. Mary then gave 'the address' complete with Scottish music from Dave.
This year, Mary's storytelling was to regale us with the strength of two women of the era of Richard the Lion Heart--- His mother Eleanor and his wife Berengaria of Navarre who was called Queen of England but never set foot on the Isle. They followed him to his Crusades and were courageous women. The Cunard Lines even named a ship called the Berengaria after her.
Doris Krecsy won the 50/50 draw.
